aim to increase the number of Bumiputera’s professional accountants to 60,000 in the year 2020, UiTM has seized the initiative to establish an accountancy centre which is now known as IPAC Education. The establishment was officiated by YBhg Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh, the Minister of Higher Education in June 2015. IPAC Education is now positioned under INTEC Education College, a subsidiary of UiTM Holdings Sdn Bhd. The initiative, from the start, supports the national agenda in Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), which was proposed by the Prime Minister in 2010. The students’ success continues in IPAC Education @ INTEC until it qualifies INTEC Education College to be recognized as ACCA’s Platinum Approved Learning Partner.
It has successfully produced World Prize Winners both in foundation papers, Certified Accounting Technician (CAT), and ACCA professional papers. The pioneer of World Prize Winner in IPAC Education is Syarah Syahirah Sugianto who had won the 1st rank in the world and Malaysia, with 100% marks in Maintaining Financial Records (FA2). In 2016, the success continued with the overall results of 20% – 30% above the world’s passing rate. With these successes, IPAC Education was awarded Two Stars Premier Tuition Provider from BPP (UK) making it the only centre outside Europe with such recognition.

In 2016, six more students received the CAT World Prize Winner and all of them are ranked number 1 in Malaysia with their respective subjects. Out of six, five of them are the world number one scorers with the highest mark of 100%. This success is repeated in 2017’s examination whereby six students obtained the World Prize Winner status, five in CAT (number one in the world & Malaysia) and another student for Performance Management (F5) paper in ACCA (number one in Malaysia and eight in the world).
The rapid achievement of Platinum status, just over two years since IPAC’s establishment puts IPAC in the same league as other well-established professional accountancy centres around the world.
Sharing on IPAC’s success, Prof Madya Mahfudzah Mohamed, Director of IPAC said, “Among the success factors that contribute to the Platinum status in such a short period are; the team work and staff commitment towards the students, the emphasis on administration and academic staff’s core competencies emphasis on students’ learning activities and supports from the stakeholders such as Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Malaysian Professional Accountancy Malaysia (MyPAC), Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (YPPB) and Yayasan Pahang as well as ACCA.”
